Justice is supposed to be blind but too often the case is that those who are on the lower end of the socio-economic ladder bear the burden of under representation, limited access to legal help, and limited knowledge of legal and constitutional rights. http://www.lawhelp.org/ LawHelp helps low and moderate income people find free legal aid programs in their communities, and answers to questions about their legal rights. Use their state list to find information to help you with problems related to housing, work, family, bankruptcy, disability, immigration and other topics. LawHelp is a gateway to America's nonprofit legal services providers.
http://www.acluohio.org/links/LegalAssistance.asp On here you can find links to general assistance, lawyer referrals, and links to understand if your rights have been violated. No matter what your opinion of the ACLU might be this is a great research resource site.
http://olrs.ohio.gov/ASP/olrs_FAQ_AboutOLRS.asp OLRS provides rights protection and advocacy services to adults and children with disabilities. OLRS' mission is to protect and advocate, in partnership with people with disabilities, for their human, civil and legal rights.
http://www.ada-ohio.org/ ADA-OHIO is a state wide non-profit organization that provides information, technical assistance and training about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to individuals, businesses, state and local government agencies or municipalities. Anyone who has a question about the ADA is encouraged to call their office.
